As with the Reaver, the Warhound was pretty much a complete resculpt of the Mike Biasi Studios kit. All surfaces were reshaped, cleaned and additional detail added. Parts were modified for easier casting using a different casting technique and making assembly simpler. The same applied to the weapons: pretty much a complete resculpt.
The Armorcast Warhound was initially released with the legs and the pelvis all as one piece. After problems getting the legs out of the mold in one piece the leg piece was modified so that the parts were separate; two legs and a new, separate pelvis piece. The hose detail on the underside of the head was also changed at this time (see"Armorcast Under Torso Front Detail" photo below).
While this model looks similar to the original model issued by Biasi Studios, there are several differences.
1. Under the carapace this model has engraved towards the front on a reactangular block "Armorcast" while the original has "Biasi Studios C Games Workshop engraved in the moulding towards the rear.
2. The detail under the torso of the tubing between the torso and the jaw is different.
3. The detail under the torso of the block at the rear is different.
4. The decoration on the legs is different. In this model the decoration shows a recessed skull while the original had an embossed globe.
