This set of figures depicted some of the low-level dungeon lowlife featured in the Fiend Folio, an AD&D monster supplement published by TSR UK in 1981. They were sold in blister packs containing 4 figures, a Meazel, a Xvart, a Snyad and a Mite. Strangely, there were 2 different Meazel poses (with garotting cord or two-handed sword) and 3 different Xvarts (with net, sword or axe.) Each figure seems to have had 5 variants, for a total of 35 different castings in this code! The only variant details of each pose seem to be in head and facial features.

ADD78 - Meazel, Xvart, Synad* and Mite Blister Pack

Originally listed under code "ADD87" in several 1985 / 1986 flyers the blister pack was in fact mass produced under the code "ADD78". Shown on the 1987 Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Sale Flyer (undated from that year) in which all old stock was offered for sale as TSR had pulled the license. The code "ADD78" is used on the flyer.

It would also seem the staff at citadel misspelled "Snyad" on the blister pack and flyers from the period by transposing the n and y. Advanced Dungeons and Dragon literature notes the spelling of the creature as "Snyad". The tab on the miniature itself displays the correct spelling "Snyad".

ADD78 - Meazel with Garrotte

This is the first of two Meazel poses, holding a leather garrotte in both hands in front of his chest. Each has the typical Meazel haircut, styled into 2 horn-like peaks.

ADD78 - Meazel with Sword

This is the second Meazel pose, armed with a two-handed sword. Each has the typical Meazel haircut, styled into 2 horn-like peaks.

ADD78 - Xvart with Axe

This is another large Xvart, wielding and axe in his left hand and pointing with his right.

ADD78 - Xvart with Net

This Xvart figure holds a weighted net in both hands.

ADD78 - Xvart with Sword

This is a larger Xvart, armed with a curved sword.

ADD87 - Snyad

The Snyad figure is depicted running forwards with a barbed dagger raised above his head.

ADD78 - Mite

The Mite figure is depicted running forwards, holding a wooden club in both hands.
