The Fighting Fantasy range of 60mm plastic figures were the first plastic figures produced by Citadel and were released to accompany the Fighting Fantasy range of books published by Penguin.

Each race came with three variant bodies, up to 9 variant heads and a weapon sprue that was released in silver, gold or red plastic. The patterns on the shields showed further variations.

It should be noted:

1. While the heads for most figures were designed to plug into the body, the heads for the FF7-9 Heroic Knights and FF10-12 Warriors of Chaos were cast as part of the bodies with a separate helmet which fitted over the head.

2. The weapons sprues supplied with the FF1-3 Mystic Wizards and the FF7-9 Heroic Knights were the same, as were the shield patterns.

3. The weapons sprues supplied with the FF4-6 Mighty Thewed Barbarians and the FF13-15 Fearless Dwarfs were the same, as were the shield patterns.
