This figure was released late in the life of the Citadel/Marauder Dark Elf range (presaging the work of Chris Fitzpatrick on 6th edition Dark Elves). The figure was purportedly submitted to GW as an audition piece by Chris Fitzpatrick prior to his employment by them. The figure closely resembles the illustration of Morathi from the 4th/5th edition Dark Elf army book.
