Details

These are original GW unreleased metal models and although they look similar to the Space Crusade plastic Eldar of the same release year, they are entirely different sculpts. Especially the weapons are much smaller and less bulky and so are the details of the hair and face-grills. Everything on these models is different to the plastic versions, including the armour and suits. Lately these spread as recasts on eBay in terrible quality: Their surface is rough, the tab text is not perfectly sharp, the weapons have cast-gates at the nozzles and the weapons have lousy details compared to these originals. Some of the originals were given away at special events to employees.

These models were used for play-test and promotion (photos of them are on the side of the box) before the plastic versions had been made.
