The slotta-based line of High Elf figures sculpted by Aly Morrison is fairly well-documented at The Stuff Of Legends.
The slotta-based High Elves were released in 2 groups of 12, in the Autumn of 1985 and January 1986. They replaced the earlier solid based ones, the last of which had only been released in January 1985. They followed the ME31 Sylvan and ME32 Noldor Elves from the Lord of the Rings range released in July 1986.
The range was defined as High Elves when first released but simply as Elves in the 1988 Catalogue.
Elements of this range were also used in the Citadel Scenarios: the Magnificent Sven, Blood Bath At Orcs Drift and Terror Of The Lichemaster. This range was also featured in the Heroes For Wargames book published by Paper Tiger press.
