Look Alikes

In the Citadel collecting world, sometimes that precious piece will forever remain elusive. However, some enterprising collectors eager to have the piece without actually having it have commissioned sculptors to copy the original pieces.

While this is technically not a recast (similar practices are known as counterfeiting) and collectors are open about it, a problem might occur when the model passes to another collector who unknowing or otherwise sells it on as an original model. Since the originals are so scarce it is unlikely they will ever be compared side-by-side with an original.

The following models are known to have look alike models, maybe even in larger numbers than the original. You would be wise to discuss the provenance of any such models with the seller before paying a premium price for any of them.
