Although these figures are commonly described as Ratskins, the blister packs in which they were briefly available described them as Underhive Gangers. In fact, the term "Ratskin' only appeared when the Necromunda game was released some time later.

More importantly, if the figures are looked at closely, it is clear the skin they are wearing is not a ratskin but more like a wolf or dog skin. This shows up more clearly in White Dwarf 137. Thanks to Greg Storey for pointing this out.

The first releases were supplied with a bare arm sprue and a hand weapon sprue, neither of which appear to have been supplied with any other figures.

The figures shown in the 1991 Catalogue used the plastic arms and weapons supplied for the Imperial Guard figures of the period. The similar weapons sprue with lasguns and heavy bolter sprue was only supplied with squats.
