Warhammer Ancient Battles (WAB) seems to exist in a slightly different continuum from the rest of GW's business enterprises. Unlike their various other licenses (Warhammer Fantasy Battle, Warhammer 40K, etc.), player of Warhammer Ancient Battles are encouraged to seek out miniatures from other (non-GW) figure manufacturers to use for their armies (as Citadel Miniatures no longer makes or supports any lines of historical miniatures). As a result of this lassez-faire policy, other figure manufacturers have produced miniatures that are tied to the various WAB titles. Often these miniatures are produced as limited edition promotional items for historical miniatures conventions/shows (Salute, Adepticon, etc.) or tied to the sales of the various WAB supplements.
