IL-KAITHE

A craftworld which constantly battles the forces of Chaos. It’s Bonesingers can practice their art even in the heat of battle. Il-Kaithe’s traditional colours are green and purple, and it’s rune is that of a stylized Dire Avenger helm (See Craftworlds).

INCUBI

Incubi are a sub-caste of silent martial elite. Trained in an unknown location by the mysterious Dark Father, they serve in many Kabals as bodyguards to powerful lords, perhaps fulfilling their own agenda (see also Dark Eldar; Kabals; Fallen Phoenix).

INFINITY CIRCUIT

When an Eldar dies, his or her soul is captured by the spirit stone worn upon his breast. The spirit stones are implanted inside one of the Craftworld's bio-domes, in a place known as the Dome of the Crystal Seers. Here the wraithbone core lies exposed underfoot, allowing spirit stones to take root, allowing the spirit to be released into the Infinity Circuit where it rejoins the spirits of the Craftworld dead. The Eldar's psychic energy becomes one with the Craftworld's energy core, its individual consciousness remaining as a potential within the Infinity Circuit. The Infinity Circuit is therefore not only an energy grid, but also a place of refuge and eternal refuge for the dead (see also Dome of Crystal Seers; Infinity Circuit; Wraithbone; Wraithguard; Wraithlords; Ynnead).

INQUISITOR CZEVAK

Inquisitor Czevak is a senior member of the Ordo Xenos and has devoted his life to the study of the Eldar race, investigating Eldar Farseers about whom he describes their minds as "Utterly inhuman in depth and complexity." Czevak is one of the few humans to have visited the Black Library of the Eldar, which seems to have had an impact on his understanding of the universe as demonstrated in his comments at the Conclave of Har. In spite of this he still considers the Eldar a race that should be crushed as indicated by his writings 'Teachings On the Unholy', the foremost text on the study of the major Eldar Craftworlds. These recommendations come after his comment noting that the Eldar "hang on to existence, yet their grip upon the universe is slipping, their hold becomes more precarious with every passing year…" showing the inherent intolerance of the Ordo Xenos for alien civilisations (see Black Library).

INRIAM THE YOUNG

One of the descendants of Eldanesh who lost the sword given to Eldanesh by the Smith God Vaul in the Sea of Broken Tears. Inriam the Young was said to be the last of the descendants of Eldanesh (See Eldanesh; Vaul).

IOLAR

An Eldar tree with pastel blossoms.

ISHA

Isha is one of the trinity of Eldar goddesses and is the goddess of the harvest and fertility. From Isha and her consort Kurnous, the Hunter god the Eldar race was born. When Asuryan placed a barrier between the gods and the Eldar to prevent Khaine hunting them down, Isha remained in contact with her children and was discovered disobeying the edict of the Phoenix King. She was imprisoned by Khaine and rescued by Vaul, fleeing to safety (See Asuryan; Gods; Kaela Mensha Khaine; Kurnous; Tears of Isha; Vaul).

ISHA'S EYE

The star known as Isha's Eye to the Eldar was located in the Eastern corner of Segmentum Obscuras, close to Ulthwé. Eldar prophecies heralded the return of the Yngir with the destruction of Isha's Eye, recently classified as a dead star (see Isha; Ulthwé; Yngir).

IYANDEN

The Iyanden Eldar are on the brink of extinction, having lost many of their number since the Fall and generations being few and far between. However, an attack by Hive Fleet Kraken all but destroyed the great craftworld, with thousands upon thousands of warriors falling to the Great Devourer. On the verge of utter extermination, the craftworld was saved by the intervention of the Pirate Prince Yriel and his Eldritch Raiders. Due to the few remaining living Eldar, the Iyanden rely heavily on Wraithguard and Wraithlords in their warhosts. This reliance on the dead has given rise to an increase in the numbers of psykers specialised in raising the souls of the Eldar from where they reside in the Infinity Circuit. These necromantic psykers known as Spiritseers are adept at communing with the souls of the dead and act as a node for the spirits roused (See also Craftworlds; Fir Lirithion; Spiritseers; Wraithguard; Wraithlords; Yriel of Iyanden).

IYANNA ARIENAL

Iyanna Arienal is a gifted Spiritseer from the Craftworld of Iyanden. She carries the ancient Spear of Teuthlas and wears Armour of Vaul, giving powerful psychic save (see Iyanden; Spiritseers).

IYBRAESIL

Iybraesil is a small Craftworld located in the Segmentum Obscurus. Iybraesil is a largely matriarchal society, heavily influenced by the cult of Morai-Heg in the quest to recovering the secrets of the crone worlds. Iybraesil’s traditional colours are turquoise and white, it’s rune is that of an open hand (see Craftworlds; Crone Worlds; Morai-Heg).

IYDRIS

A paradise world, once part of the pre-Fall Eldar Empire, now lost (see Croesus; Eldorado the Golden; Fall of the Eldar; Mymeara).
